The aim of Sports massage is to correct problems and imbalances in soft tissue that are caused from repetitive and strenuous physical activity and trauma.

This can range from sporting activities, to doing every day, household chores.

Sports massage is highly effective in the treatment of injured soft tissue, plus the release of tight fascia that protects the bodies muscles and tendons. It can also improve circulation which aids the removal of toxins and flushes Lactic acid from the affected the muscles.

W H A T T O E X P E C T

Once I have completed a consultation with a new client, I perform a postural and range of motion examination before deciding on a plan of action.

I’ll then start the treatment with light strokes initially before incorporating deep tissue massage. I may also use soft tissue release and trigger point methods of relief.

After the treatment, I will discuss the rehab and after care options with the client to determine the next step.

I consider myself extremely fortunate to have developed my career in Sports therapy. It is personally very rewarding when someone comes to me for help with an injury, or a chronic pain problem and I am able to use my knowledge and experience to heal their ailment.
